Sharing a project

Share an RTL++ project with people by email or with a link, at Editor, Commenter or Viewer, and see who else is in the project.

Share in the top bar opens sharing in the right panel. The project is saved to your account first. Sharing needs you to be signed in.

Add people by email
Type an address, pick a role and press Invite. Someone with an account gets the project at once; someone without one gets it the first time they sign in with that address.
People with access
Everyone on the project and their role. The owner changes a role or removes someone here.
General access
Only people added above, or anyone with the link at a role. Copy the link to send it. It can open at the moment on screen: the test, time, signals and line.
Editor
Changes files and builds. Edits from several people merge file by file as they save.
Commenter
Views, runs the tests and comments. Files cannot be changed.
Viewer
Views and runs the tests, on their own computer. Files cannot be changed and Build is hidden.

Whoever opens a link signs in, joins the project at the link's role, and the project opens. Projects shared with you are listed under Shared with me on the home.

Anyone who is not the owner can choose Make a copy in the top bar for a project of their own with the same files.

Who is here

The faces beside Share are the other people with the project open, and the file and line each one is on. Click one to go there.

Comments

Comments in the right panel holds the threads on a project. Comment on a line from the command bar, or on a signal at the waveform cursor from its menu in the dock. Each thread links back to its place. Anyone who can comment replies, resolves a thread or reopens it, and the author edits their own.
